Kicking off this week’s MVP is BAO and Carhartt, who are coming together once more to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a limited edition T-shirt. BAO will be entering their fifth year of collaboration with the workwear brand, offering up a T-shirt decorated with a print of the rabbit-eared Lonely Man on the back, outlined in a pale pink. Next up, premium streetwear brand ASHLUXE have recently revealed their SS23 collection, where traditional African culture meets new technology. The Collection explores the sentiment of FESTAC 77 – an event which marked the launch of Pan-Africanism and its symbolic representation. The collection references the official emblem of the festival, a replica crafted by Erhabor Emokpae of the royal ivory mask of Benin – whilst featuring ASHLUXE’s signature zig-zag pattern. Standout pieces include sleek varsity jackets, pink denim co-ords and abstract button-downs. ASHLUXE’s SS23 collection is available to shop now at their official website.

If you’re looking for a tune to light up those early-year functions, then look no further than Armani White and Denzel Curry’s latest offering, ‘GOATED.’ Featuring booming 808’s, slick wordplay and a killer hook, the song is already an early contender for track of the year. Armani and Curry’s chemistry is unmatched, and a telling display of each of their rising star power over the last year, with the duo attempting to outgun each other on their mesmerising verses. Armani knows the perfect formula for virality, as is seen in the accompanying tongue-in-cheek video, where Floyd Mayweather Jr. even makes a surprise appearance. If a party is ever stalling, then simply throw on this cut and let the chaos commence. 

Finally, taking the title of this week’s MVP is Amsterdam-based brand Daily Paper, who take influence from Morocco for their SS23 collection. This season, the brand guides us through North Africa and its rich cultural heritage and translates that into contemporary garments. The collection, titled Under The Same Moon, includes highlights such as woven tapestry jacquard suiting a natural henna dye two-piece, reflecting Morocco’s tradition of craftsmanship and the use of natural materials.
