Inside Flannels, London’s new concept store

A merger of fashion and art.

You can now grab your Gucci, Versace, Vetements and experimental art fix all in one place. Flannels’ new flagship store is a collaboration of the luxury creative, with four floors dedicated to providing London with a new conceptual shopping space.

Located on Oxford Street, the new store was created by Italian studio pconp in partnership with artist Riccardo Previdi. The designers presence is clear from the first look of the building’s , featuring an impressive three-storey curtain of digital screens which play the curated artists work on loop, on the inside think patterns galore, almost every available space has been covered with specially designed geometric, polka-dot, and illustrated wallpaper, lampshades and rugs – a touch on the garish side but a complimentary backdrop to the clothes.

As the high-street crisis worsens across the country, a recent study found one in 12 shops closing over five years, innovative and conceptual approaches to shopping experiences, like Flannels’ flagship store, could be the answer in reviving interest in consumers and fighting competition with online platforms.
