It’s all about flower power at this season’s Dries Van Noten show

Dries Van Noten’s conspicuous Spring/Summer 2020 collection forges an all-encompassing array of lustrous motifs, photographic prints and a remarkable dashing palette, accentuating a ‘70s-inebriated apparel range. 

Lavish florals aren’t the only patterns chosen by Dries’ experienced eye for detail: the clothing featured an eclectic yet catchy assortment of motifs, such as complementary zebra prints, tiger camo, plaids, stripes and leopard spots, which appeared throughout the show. Even though floral detailingstood at the core of the collection, further motifs such as sunflowers, hibiscuses and lilies implemented the pieces through bright tonalities, enriching majority of tailored staples with a refined sense of sartorial slickness blended with tonal playfulness. In addition, neutrality featured onto white trousers and trench coats, quenching the minimalist craving of the label’s faithful consumers, elevating classic cuts ensembles such as the nylon coats and understated vests.
