Jeffrey Dahmer’s prison glasses are up for sale for $150,000

The serial killer's bible, cutlery and family photos are also up for auction online.

The glasses that serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer wore in prison are going up for sale for $150,000.

The item is being sold by Taylor James of Cult Collectibles in Vancouver, Canada who claims that he acquired the glasses and several other items from the former housekeeper of Dahmer’s father, Lionel.

The collection also includes Dahmer’s bible, cutlery, family photos and paperwork and is now being managed and sold by James for a portion of the profit. As per TMZ, the website doesn’t feature the glasses but those who are interested can contact Taylor directly – if for some reason you wanted them.

This isn’t the first time there have been plans to sell Dahmer’s items. After the verdict for his case was announced in 1992 it was decided that all of his belongings would be sold via an auction. However, the auction never took place as there were fears that memorabilia hunters would use his tools to commit copycat crimes, as reported by The Independent.

Dahmer was one of the world’s most prolific serial killers. He was convicted of killing 17 men and boys between the years of 1978 and 1991, with some of his crimes involving cannibalism. He died in 1994 at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin after being killed by his ellow inmate, Christopher Scarver.

Dahmer’s name became a fixture in pop culture once more due to Ryan Murphy’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which stars Evan Peters as the notorious serial killer. Despite its popularity, many have reacted negatively to the show. Rita Isbell, sister of Errol Lindsey, a victim of Dahmer’s, spoke out against Netflix for failing to reach out to the victim’s families and accused the streamer of “making money off of his tragedy.”

“I was never contacted about the show. I feel like Netflix should’ve asked if we mind or how we felt about making it. They didn’t ask me anything. They just did it,” Isbell told Insider. But I’m not money hungry, and that’s what this show is about, Netflix trying to get paid.”
