Yesterday (6 April) John Richmond launched its AW21 collection in a gender-fluid catwalk presentation in Shanghai.
Entitled “Destroy Disorientate Disorder” it took place at the Arnardi Hotel, a hotspot in the city, with an admirable FRow and guests including multifaceted creative Gilian Chung and actors Wallace Chung and He Hongshan. Alongside the fashion offering, the event showcased more than 500 musical performers in a nod to the designer’s long-running interest in rock.
This is John Richmond’s first show in China but, after signing an agreement with the White group and opening its first Shanghai showroom last January, the brand is preparing to continue its international expansion.
