Johnny Depp will make an appearance in Rihanna’s ‘Savage X Fenty’ show

The actor will be the focus of one of the show's "star" moments.

In today’s news no one expected, Johnny Depp will reportedly make a surprise appearance at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 showcase.

According to TMZ, the decision to include Depp was orchestrated by Rihanna and her team, although the reason as to why remains unknown. Thankfully, Depp won’t be walking the runway, but will be the focus of one of the show’s “star” moments, previously offered to the likes of Cindy Crawford and Erykah Badhu.

With the new addition, Depp is set to be the first male in the history of Savage X Fenty to hold the “star” role. TMZ sources also noted that Depp has already filmed his segment, described as “cool and chic,” while honouring all aspects of his artistry such as acting, modelling and music.

The news will no doubt divide fans after Depp’s trial against ex-wife Heard earlier this year, where the actor sued Heard for defamation following a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post.

Despite Heard’s allegations of abuse throughout the six-week trial, which concluded in July, the jury found that a column she wrote about domestic violence was defamatory and awarded $10.35m (£8.2m) in damages to Depp, even though the article did not name him.

The Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 show will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 9th and feature musical performances from Anitta and Burna Boy.
