Ever proving herself as a force to reckoned with, Kali Uchis emphasises another string to her bow with her acoustic skills. Slowly dropping the accompanying visuals to the Colombian-American singer’s latest album, Isolation, Uchis’ track ‘Dead To Me’ has been fully reworked for the video release. A simple set up of Kali and her vintage microphone, the film sees her strip back her tune to pure voice and acoustic sounds.
Focusing on Kali Uchis’ raw voice, she sings with just a keyboard and harp behind her, it captures the rarity and honesty of her old soul talent. Following on from her high production Nadia Lee Cohen-directed visuals for ‘After the Storm’, this new video celebrates the music itself through ethereal scenes. Not to be missed.
