Kanye West reportedly wanted to name ‘Ye’ album after Hitler

A report has found the rapper to have had an “obsession” with the Nazi leader, following his disturbing anti-semitic remarks.

Kanye West has come under fire in recent days following his anti-semitic commentary on Twitter, where he disturbingly claimed that he was “going death con 3 on Jewish people”. CNN reported of several sources, including statements from a business executive who worked for West. The insider told of how the 45-year-old “would praise Hitler by saying how incredible it was that he was able to accumulate so much power and would talk about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people.”

They went on to report of how the inner circle of the rapper were “fully aware” of his “obsession” with Hitler, and claimed that Ye had read the 1925 autobiographical manifesto Mein Kampf, as well as admired his use of propaganda. The rapper — who was previously married to Kim Kardashian, whom he shares children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm — revealed that he was tempted to name his 2018 album after Hitler, but went to settle on the name ‘Ye’.

This follows West controversially donning a ‘White Lives Matter’ T-shirt to Paris Fashion Week, which resulted in the official cutting of ties from brands he worked with, including Balenciaga, Adidas and Apple Music
