Kate Moss expected to deny that Johnny Depp abused her at defamation trial tomorrow

Johnny Depp’s lawyers will reportedly call supermodel Kate Moss to the stand to testify.

A source close to the case told the New York Post Moss will talk about an incident when she ‘was walking down some stairs in Jamaica’. Moss, 48, who dated Depp from 1994 until 1997, is set to appear at the actor’s defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard on Wednesday, 24th May.

According to the source Depp ‘caught her [Moss] and tended to her’ when she slipped on flip flops and fell down steps in Jamaica’ after Amber Heard mentioned the staircase rumour during evidence.

Heard had brought up the model in her testimony earlier this month, saying she felt connected to Moss due to a rumour Depp pushed her down the stairs when they were dating back in the 1990s.

But by mentioning the alleged misconduct, Heard allowed Depp’s lawyers to call her as a witness to discuss the rumour, which sources say is not true. After Heard mentioned the rumour Depp’s lawyers even reportedly began fist-pumping the air.

Depp is currently battling it out in court with Heard over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she penned in which she claimed she as a victim of sexual violence. While Heard did not mention Depp by name, the “Edward Scissorhands” star claims the article tarnished his reputation and career.

Depp, who was married to Heard from 2015 to 2017, has denied his ex’s claims. The defamation trials closing arguments are expected on 27th May.
