Rumours of chemistry between the pair first started to circulate after they shared an on-screen kiss during Saturday Night Live back in October, and with them going Instagram official this past weekend, it looks like things aren’t slowing down. Of course, the ever-present thorn in their side is Kanye West (more on that later), but this is clearly a couple who aren’t going to let an ex — even if it is Ye — get in the way. 9th October – 2021 — The kiss that started it all
During the Skims founder’s Saturday Night Live hosting gig, she locked lips SNL regular, Pete, during an Aladdin and Jasmine Disney sketch. She was obviously keen to come back for seconds…
1st November 2021 — The pair are spotted holding hands
Just a few weeks after their kiss on SNL, Kim and Pete were papped holding hands while on a rollercoaster ride together. It appears they were double dating with Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barket at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California. At the time, an insider denied that they were dating to People: They hang in the same circles so they will be together from time to time. It’s just friends hanging out.”
Just three days later, they reportedly went on a private dinner date, per Page Six. “Pete arranged a dinner on the rooftop privately,” a source disclosed, detailing that they were “quietly were able to sneak in and out,” sans security.
“Pete is a very chill and casual guy, and she likes that. They have plans to see each other again while Kim is in New York City. Whatever is going on between them is exciting to her,” another source told E! as to why the comedian appealed to Kim.
November 5 2021 — Kanye weighs in
As speculation continued to gather steam, an insider told US Weekly that the rapper is not “not happy” and “hurting”, but is “trying to stay upbeat and move on with his life.” He proceeds to unfollow Kim on Instagram.
Then during his two-part interview with Drink Champs, he makes it clear that he wants to reunite with Kim. “SNL making my wife say ‘I divorced him’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off, and I ain’t never even seen the papers. We’re not even divorced…that ain’t no joke to me. My kids want they parents to stay together. I want us to be together,” he said.
November 17th 2021 — Pete’s birthday
Pete and Kim kind of make things Instagram official on the comedian’s birthday weekend when they pose for a picture wearing matching PJs, which makes it way to Flavor Flav’s grid.
November 28 2021 — Kim and Pete take selfies!
The pair take selfies with a tourist in LA, and then just a few days later they go on a movie date with Scott Disick. See the evidence for yourself…
January 4 2022 — A post-Xmas holiday
Kim and Pete take their relationship to the next level by going on vacation together. The Daily Mail obtains photos of them boarding a private jet to the Bahamas.
January 25 2022 — Dinner parties and networking
According to TMZ, the pair attended a dinner party hosted by Amazon boss Jeff Bezons in Los Angeles. They apparently arrived together and socialised before returning to the Beverly Hills Hotel.
February 7 2022 — Pete makes things official
During an interview with People (The TV Show!) The King of Staten Island star called Kim his girlfriend for the first time while discussing his relationship with fame. “Well, I don’t really have Instagram — I don’t have Instagram or Twitter or any of that stuff. So, most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set,” he said. “Or, if I’m off, I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don’t do much.”
He also spoke about his Valentine’s Day plans: “I don’t think I’ve ever had a Valentine’s Day thing, really,” he said. “So this would be the first year that I’m thinking about Valentine’s Day plans, I guess.” Aww.
March 2 2022 — Kim is officially a single woman
Kim is declared officially single by a Los Angeles court! Despite this happy news, the couple continues to deal with Kanye, who keeps making barbed attacks on Davidson. In the music video for his song, Eazy, which airs on March 3, the designer kidnaps and buries an animated Pete. And at the end, the video reads: “Everyone lived happily ever after. Except Skete you know who / JK he’s fine.”
March 9 2022 — Kim dishes on the Kardashians’ new Hulu series
As we eagerly wait for The Kardashians to air, Kim addresses the burning question as to whether Pete will appear in the reality series. “I have not filmed with him,” she told Variety. “And I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does. But if there was an event happening and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to get away. I think I might film something really exciting coming, but it wouldn’t be for this season.”
However, the 41-year-old did reveal that we will finally find out “how we met and who reached out to who and how it happened and all the details that everyone wants to know…,” adding, “I’m definitely open to talking, and I definitely explain it.
March 11 2022 — It’s officially Instagram official…
Kim and Pete break the internet by making things official on the grid. The beauty mogul shared a carousel where Pete featured in two sweet candids. “Whose car are we gonna take?!,” she captioned the post.

Pete clearly has had it with Kanye’s constant digs at his relationship. In a series of leaked text conversations between him and the Bound 2 rapper, Pete defends Kim and implores Kanye to keep out of their lives. In now-deleted screenshots posted to Instagram by Pete’s friend Dave Sirus, the 28-year-0ld wrote: “Yo it’s Skete. Can you please take a second and calm down… It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f***ing lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the fuck up [sic].”
Then, when Kanye reportedly asked Pete where he was, he replied, “In bed with your wife,” alongside a selfie of him in bed, flashing the peace sign.
“Let me help you man… I struggle with mental stuff too… It’s not an easy journey… You don’t have to feel this way anymore… There’s no shame in having a little help… You’ll be so happy and at peace [sic],” he added in the texts, urging him to meet privately in person “man to man”.
The following day, Kim doubled down and told Kanye to “stop” the “narrative” that she doesn’t allow him to see his children. The moment was captured by the Instagram account @commentsbycelebs.
