Let Ebenezer be your Internet Guide

Get to know the unique talent behind '53 Sundays'.

Rising at a meteoric rate over the past few years, Ebenezer’s highly anticipated project ’53 Sundays’ is only about to make that rise even more wild. Expressing himself eloquently and powerfully, the artist is unafraid of sentimentality and stripping himself down, both musically and personally. The latest conceptual project exemplifies that, influenced by Ebenezer’s questioning of Church and God, as he explained upon releasing the 13 tracks:

“The overall concept of ’53 Sundays’ is false prophets & blind faith. Me losing faith in religion and turning to this ‘get it by any means’ hustler lifestyle, made me question everything I’ve ever believed in. I don’t look to leaders to lead me. I am the master of my own fate and destiny. Growing up we never had anything, barely enough to put milk in our cereal, so we made due with water. From cousins who were supposed to be family kicking us out on the streets, thinking we need salvation, we need a miracle. We make our own miracles! ’53 Sundays’ is my truth.”

Now, Ebenezer is finding himself through his music, and we’re ready for the ride. So, let Ebenezer be your Internet Guide this week, and get ready to hop aboard the journey.

What would you like to see more of online? What about less of?

I’d love to see more positivity, less negativity on social media. People should have to say things with their chest and accept the repercussions. I also wouldn’t mind seeing less adverts.. lol

What or who is the best account you follow? The worst?

There’s a bunch of funny accounts I follow, but apart from animals doing funny things I don’t think there’s one specific account that’s the best.  As far as the worst account, I’ve blocked and unfollowed them!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve read about yourself online?

I haven’t read nothing crazy, 1 or 2 people have mentioned that I talk in a North London accent but don’t sing in one… I tend not to pay attention to that cause regardless of how I sound when I sing or rap, I have a voice and a message.

What’s your favourite meme?

I can’t think of one off the top of my head, but memes bring me so much happiness.

What’s your earliest memory of the Internet?

AOL dial up connection haha! First the wait, then if someone picked up the phone you’d get disconnected… oh how far we have come.

Is the Internet a good or bad thing for music?

It has its pros and cons, as does everything.
You just have to know how to navigate through the negativity and focus on the amazing parts.

How many followers represent success?

0… I personally don’t think that numbers determine whether you can sell tickets, considering some numbers are heavily manipulated these days. All it does is provide you the gratification that someone cares enough to follow you.

Finally…what’s going on in your life?

Well I’m single sooooo… lol. I’m probably gonna buy another dog making it my 3rd. All jokes aside though, I’m working on a new project that’s bigger and better I assure you.
