London newcomer Harve explores queer intimacy on “Sheets”

We take first listen to a subversive, experimental love song.

Harve’s new single “Sheets” is an abstract exploration of intimacy that subverts superficial pop narratives. Over stripped back, aqueous beats from producer Kwes Darko (Slowthai, Flohio), Harve describes the conflict between lust and vulnerability. It’s an experimental, progressive love song.

Speaking on the track Harve says: “It’s a mix of the anxiety and self-consciousness in those moments, and the relief that follows, when you let that person unfold you. I feel like in the queer community as well, it’s a lot harder to find someone you trust with your body and your heart, and this is kinda that moment when it all works out.”
