Nabil Nayal and Hunger team up for a short film celebrating the AW19 collection

Nabil Nayal and Hunger collaborate on a short film exploring the designer's AW19 collection

Nabil Nayal’s work has always been cinematic – there is a drama, an ethereal nature and a grandeur to what he creates that is a rare feat in an industry that is saturated with creativity. And his AW19 collection was no exception. Inspired by the tumultuous reign of Marie Antoinette and the exaggerated extravagance of the era, the collection is an intricate feat of design – ruffles, silk and couture shapes that mark Nabil Nayal out as one of the city’s most exciting emerging design talents.

And in a befitting collaboration, for AW19 Hunger and Nabil Nayal teamed up for a short film that was screened at the designer’s presentation during London fashion Week. Directed by MUSA and KAKEMBO of Reform the Funk, and styled by Hunger’s fashion editor Chantal des Vignes, the film epitomises the revolutionary nature of the collection. Watch it in full below.
