Netflix reveal delightfully spooky teaser for ‘Wednesday’ season two

One of Netflix’s most successful shows could be returning sooner than you think.

Wednesday was one of the biggest hits of 2022 for Netflix, and now plans are already in place to launch the second season of everyone’s favourite spooky drama.

The show performed incredibly well for the streamer, with Wednesday racking up 341.2 million hours of viewing worldwide in its opening week. Meanwhile, fans produced a social media campaign to ship unlikely friends Wednesday and Enid into a couple – while the final episode launched a viral dance routine you’ve probably seen a million times.

Recently, it was reported that the Addams Family spin-off could be leaving the streaming platform before it was confirmed that nothing of the sort would be taking place.

Now, Netflix appears to have reaffirmed that Wednesday – led by Jenna Ortega – will not only be safe on the site, but coming back for more.

In a short teaser, Ortega’s typically deadpan character is sitting at her trusted typewriter, which she uses to write up her novels. As suspense-filled music plays in the background, Wednesday types on a piece of paper: “THE END,” before adding a question mark after a pause. To add even more mystery to the matter, Netflix captioned the teaser: “???????”

While there’s no confirmation on when a second season could be released, our excitement levels are certainly sky high to see Ortega kill it on screen once more.
