Off-White Launches “I Support Young Black Businesses”

The Virgil Abloh-owned label is spearheading an initiative to support the Black community through quarterly fundraising.

Off-White has launched the “I Support Young Black Businesses” project, a quarterly fundraising program in aid of Black-owned organisations selected by Virgil Abloh.

The first round of fundraising opened with the sale of Off-White’s AW 2020 “I Support Young Black Businesses” t-shirt and hoodies. The line is now available online, with proceeds going directly to Chicago CRED, an organisation focused on reducing gun violence.

And this isn’t the first time Virgil Abloh has given back to the Black community. Most recently, he raised one million dollars to support the next generation of Black fashion leaders through the Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund. Off-White has also started an ongoing paid internship program in Milan to support young Black people building a career in fashion, beginning from September 2020.
