Queercore is coming to VERO

The homage to queer punk and fanzines, originally published in our DIY Issue, is making its digital debut.

Sick of pinkwashing? Want to cut past the virtue signalling to tackle some of the very real issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community today? We hear you, loud and clear. So much so, we made a fashion story about it!

Introducing Queercore: a subversive fashion editorial which debuted in our recently launched DIY Issue.  Spearheaded by photographer-director Jordan Rossi, it captures the freewheeling energy of the punk underground of the 1980s and pays homage to the queercore movement spearheaded by G.B. Jones and Bruce LaBruce. As well as digitally publishing the images from the shoot, Jordan will be reflecting on some of the challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community today, as well as providing music and film inspirations and queer clubbing recommendations.
