Rachel Weisz’s wickedly thrilling ‘Dead Ringers’ is your next must-binge series

The show follows the destructive lives of identical twins Elliot and Beverly Mantle, both portrayed by Weisz.

In Dead Ringers – a Prime Video series that reimagines David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller of the same name – Rachel Weisz plays the double role of Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twin gynaecologists who spiral into a destructive codependence. We follow the duo in the eerie thriller as they push the boundaries of medical ethics in the hopes of  bringing women’s care to the forefront.

The show not only explores their medical ventures but also their complicated personal lives that are entangled with drugs and romances, brought to life by Weisz’ immense portrayal. Overall, showrunner Alice Birch (Normal People) delivers a dark, wicked, and thrilling story that not only shocks, but also offers up a welcome helping of the writer’s signature biting humour.

Recently, HUNGER had the pleasure of speaking to Weisz, her co-star Britne Oldford – who plays Genevieve – and Birch in an exclusive video interview, which will be dropping on HUNGER next week.

The series’ star-studded cast also includes Poppy Liu (Hacks, iCarly) as Greta, Michael Chernus (Severance, Orange is the New Black) as Tom, Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty, Saint Maud) as Rebecca, and Emily Meade (The Deuce, The Leftovers) as Susan.

All six episodes in the series are available to stream on Prime Video now, meaning that yes, you can binge it all in one sitting if you so wish.
