Becoming a veritable cult item, sporting a Bushwick Birkin on your arm isn’t just a sign that you know fashion, it’s a sign that you’re aligned with the brand’s radically inclusive ethos. This year, the label seemingly took its signature item to new heights as the bags repeatedly sold out with each drop, leading to some seriously hilarious memes (see below for HUNGER’s faves). The demand reached fever pitch when Telfar had to literally shut down its site in an effort to ward off bots who led to totes being hawked for double their value on resale sites.
Announced yesterday via Instagram, however, Telfar has come up with a new plan to make sure everyone gets the bag of their dreams. Tomorrow, starting at nine am EST every size and colour will be available to order for a limited window of twenty-four hours. From there, all orders will be fulfilled by 15 January 2021, meaning that now you’ll finally have something to look forward to…
