Party like it’s the 80s with Givenchy
Claire Weight Keller’s AW18 collection, inspired by Berlin’s 80s club scene, has been brought to life by Steven Meisel. The new black and white campaign is an array of high contrast shots of glamorously chaotic party scenes, directed by Patrick Li. Givenchy’s Autumn/Winter is all about getting lost in the Night Noir.
Meet Gucci’s band of outsiders
The weird and wonderful world of Alessandro Michele’s Gucci triumphs once more, assisted by Glen Luchford and Christopher Simmmonds. Models dressed as collectors surrounded by their personal shrines, this campaign is all about celebrating peculiarity and embracing your quirky side, because who wants to be normal?
Moschino’s alt-universe
Jeremy Scott has brought his trademark pop art to life with Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid and Vittoria Ceretti. Shot by fashion’s fave Steven Meisel and styled by Carlyn Cerf de Dudzeele, we’re getting alien Star Trek vibes and we love.
Dior’s Nouvelle vague
The collection was inspired by Paris in May 1968, the year of the youth riots, but there’s no protesting in Pamela Hanson’s shots, other than Maria Grazia Chiuri’s embroidered feminist slogans. The soft-toned filter, Parisian streets and subtitles make the campaign Dior’s very own nouvelle vague movie.
Moncler’s post-fashion statement
The Moncler fall 2018 campaign may just be a series of black and white headshots by Craig McDean, but the 19 famous faces are iconic enough; from 14 year old, Stranger Things actress, Millie Bobby Brown to 70 year old model Maye Musk. There’s also a diver, a cosmonaut and a Guinness World Record breaker featured; it’s all about going “beyond” and they really did with all that talent.
Vivienne Westwood’s digi-dream
For the neon-lit AW18 campaign Andreas Kronthaler says it “expresses the time we’re in, and does it with humour, which is important, it’s sophisticated too.” Adding, “this has a new direction, a different stylistic approach. We created sets like strange worlds – LED lights, images projected on images. It’s always about pushing ourselves into new territories, experimenting and taking us out of our comfort zone- you’re never sure how it’s going to look. We’re all part of it- Juergen (Teller), us as the designers (Vivienne & Andreas), the models, the whole team.”
