Stay Tuned for Andrew Gallimore’s VERO Takeover
You might not know him by name, but you’ve most certainly seen some of Andrew Gallimore’s handiwork. The UK’s first Dior ambassador, he’s worked with the likes of David Bailey and brought his distinctive flair to campaigns for Versace, as well as to the pages of magazines like Pop, Grazia, i-D and Paper. Initially trained as an artist, his vanguardist approach to beauty — taking inspiration from Lichenstein and line drawings and incorporating Haribo and action figures as materials — has inspired a whole generation of Insta-first beauty artists.
Formerly Beauty Editor-at-Large at HUNGER, he’s worked with Rankin countless times: from transforming model Georgia Hobday into a futuristic cyborg for our Fantasy Meets Reality cover to covering graphic beauty looks in slime. The two have even collaborated on a book, featuring death masks, guts and experimentation galore, to immortalise their creative partnership.
For Andrew’s most recent HUNGER collab, he’s taking over our VERO account until 17 July. As part of the takeover, you can expect an exclusive, eye-catching beauty shoot featuring some familiar faces, BTS makeup tips and an in-depth interview, as well as cultural recommendations that help Andrew get in the beauty mood. A must for makeup fanatics and aspiring beauty artists!
