SZA hints at new music project dubbed “PSA” in cryptic teaser

The singer’s long awaited sophomore album is seemingly closer than ever.

Just a few weeks after releasing her latest track, ‘Shirt,’ SZA is blessing us with even more music. The artist released a cryptic teaser titled “PSA,” hinting at an upcoming project.

Celebrating her 33rd birthday, the singer surprised her followers with a minute and 40-second clip alongside a caption that read: “clock starts now.” The video sees SZA surrounded by green flames while singing, “I don’t want nobody calling me anything but No. 1.” The clip then cuts to the star pouring blue liquid all over her body.

It’s currently unclear whether the teaser is for a full-length album or a single. However, she previously told TMZ that she’s recorded 100 songs, adding that her new album could be released “any day.”

“I don’t even know what this album is about and what it sounds like… I really don’t know. It’s so bizarre. It’s weird that I can’t put my finger on it. It’s a little bit of everything. It’s a little aggressive. Some parts are incredibly soft. Some of them are ballads. I don’t know. It’s all over the place. It’s just where my heart is,” she told Complex.

SZA hasn’t released an album since 2017’s CTRL, although she did release a deluxe version of the project earlier this year in celebration of its 5th anniversary.
