The artist blending iconic pop culture moments and activism

Art activism is without a doubt having a moment in the cyber world...

From Saint Hoax’s signature Trump in drag painting to Insta-illustrators using their platform for good, the art world is stepping up and making a difference. And Faye Orlove is one of those who’s paving the way: with her empowered mantras and feminist drawings, her work is exactly what we need on social media and beyond. Satirising notorious pop culture references, then blending them with potent messages, it’s the perfect way to get Generation Z to listen and get involved, or just feel like they can too be a part of something bigger. Orlove, an LA based independent artist-animator-activist, also works on Junior High, an inspiring community space in Hollywood which aims to empower marginalised voices in the arts. From Cardi B to Tyra Banks, Faye Orlove is making a difference one sketch at a time, so scroll through some of our favourites below and follow Orlove on Instagram here now.
