The MOBO Award 2021 Winners Have Been Announced

Little Simz, Central Cee and Dave all win big at the annual celebration of music and culture.

The winners of the 2021 MOBO awards were announced on Sunday at the ceremony’s first live show since 2017, held in Coventry. Awards were taken home by figures that are shaping culture, and who are at the forefront of re-defining the British music scene.

Some of the greatest artists around were honoured at the event. Grime icon, Ghetts, took home the award for Best Male Act, after 15 years of re-defining one of the UK’s biggest genres. 23-year-old South Londoner, Dave, won the Album of the Year award for his release, ‘We’re All Alone in this Together’. Little Simz won the Best Female Act award for the 27-year-old’s widely-adored album, ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’. And the mega-star of Drill, Central Cee, was also awarded for his seismic impact over the past year as the Best Drill Act.

The event saw performances from some of the industry’s biggest names, including Pa Salieu, Ghetts, Stefflon Don and Ms Banks, Tems, Bree Runway, and more. Awards were either decided by a judging panel, specialists committee, or by public vote.
