🦋I find myself constantly trying to recreate a time in my life when I felt the most alive and safe at the same time– when I could just be a carefree dream-fueled teeny bopper.🦋My approach with this project was to lean into my authenticity, and not to chase anything anyone else was doing.🦋I’m very fluid with how I approach references and sub genres in my music, but I think this is a cohesive body of work and that’s not always easy for me to accomplish! I’ve touched upon many vibes and influences in my music to date, and I look forward to expanding that even further and continuing my narrative as an artist.🦋One of the biggest reasons why ‘Planet Y2K’ is so special to me is because it’s a culmination of a lot of work I did independently. I A&R’d and executive produced the project sonically and visually, and as someone who’s been through the insecurity-infused ringer of the music industry for basically half of my life, I’m really proud of my perseverance and confidence in my taste.🦋 I’m grateful to @mvngcstl, @awal, and my incredible creative collaborators for trusting me and helping facilitate my vision. A special thanks to @jamesorlandooo, @brianziff, and @robokid.online for breathing massive inspiration and imagination into this project. (I couldn’t have done it without you.)🦋More special thanks: @brettblackman, @drewurl, @biccchele, @yikeselou, @cajoleas, @emlygale, @yarlyle_bones, @aobeats, @charlie_is_______, @cecigofficial, @sonikku.wav, @dylanbrady, @czdoe, @groundislava, @jarinademarco, @slayyyter, @sophartso, @ravennagolden, @namasenda, @ajathekween, @thejimmyharry, @jessesaintjohn, @jcchasezofficial, @samshrieve, @cocomorier, @alexkeithchapman, @aajoseph, @kimpetras, @allgoodthingsrock, @djboboofficial, @annieabrams7, @sienree, @heatherroseharris, @vallyg_irl, @streetboi, @freakcityla, @amandapeanutt, @rxsongs, @maddecent publishing🦋
