HRH Queen Elizabeth II has died, aged 96
The Queen passed away after a short illness.
Royal authorities have confirmed that the Queen has passed away at the age of 96.
Preceding the news, the Palace released a statement, reading: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, had all travelled to be by the monarch’s side. Dozens of well-wishers also gathered at Balmoral to pay their respects.
