The Super Bowl halftime show proves Rihanna is mother, again
Last night Bad Gal RiRi made her highly anticipated return to the stage, as she announced that she has her second baby on the way. The star sang to several of her top hits for the halftime show where the Philadelphia Eagles played the Kansas City Chiefs, opening with her banging ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ medley.
Much to the delight of fans, the final routine popped off as Rihanna descended down on a platform with her dancers mirroring her every move. The horde of backup dancers are already spawning memes due to their ‘fits, which were unified head-to-toe white puffer suits as they performed to the likes of ‘We Found Love’, ‘Rude Boy’, and ‘Work’ on floating stages.
Choreographed by frequent collaborator and coveted dancer Parris Goebel, the sequence included a sneaky Fenty Beauty product placement with a Fenty Icon Velvet Liquid Lipstick top-up and well-placed belly rub. Announcing her second baby through a representative to The Hollywood Reporter, her partner A$AP Rocky proudly cheered her on in the crowd.
For her major comeback moment, the star opted for a monochrome, cherry-red layered look, featuring a Loewe jumpsuit and glossy breastplate. Then, in a pair of Margiela x Salomon Cross low tops, Rihanna swept through not one, but two custom Alaïa coats designed by Pieter Mulier, starting in a red leather puffer scarf and ending in a floor-length puffer coat with attached gloves.
