For SS20, Chanel is looking to the past. Drawing inspiration from early collections designed by Mademoiselle Chanel in the 30s, this season sees them paying homage with Camelia, Comete, Plume and Ruban, four diverse offerings which perfectly punctuate the Chanel design timeline.
In Plume, we see the feather motif which inspired Mademoiselle Chanel during her early work and which has become an integral part of the brand’s symbolic universe. Camelia is homage to Chanel’s favourite flower, while Ruban strengthens the ties between fashion and jewellery – literally – with a selection of designs creating an elegant bow. Comete is for those that love the cosmos, a touch of constellations dripping in sparkling jewels.
