Timothée Chalamet revealed as the new face of Bleu De Chanel

The actor teased a collaboration with the label on his Instagram earlier this week.

Chanel has announced everyone’s favourite heartthrob Timothée Chalamet as the new ambassador of their iconic Bleu De Chanel fragrance.

The 27-year-old French-American actor has seen a meteoric rise ever since appearing in Luca Guadagnino’s 2017 critically acclaimed coming-of-age film Call Me by Your Name – and has quickly become a fashion and beauty icon thanks to a plethora of stunning red carpet looks.

Bleu De Chanel marks Chalamet’s first collaboration with the legendary house and as the official ambassador of any fashion or beauty label. With this new role, Chalamet cements himself as a modern icon and represents an exciting new chapter for the Bleu De Chanel fragrance.

Chanel said of its reasons for selecting him: “With a dynamic energy as raw as it is refined, the 27-year-old actor has gained a distinguished worldwide reputation, while still at the dawn of his career. Apart from his audacious style and unapologetic charm, Timothée Chalamet personifies the visionary and edgy spirit of the next chapter of Bleu De Chanel: a man who does not limit himself to the ordinary boundaries life sets and looks beyond what is visible.”

Alongside this new campaign, 2023 is set to be another landmark year for the star, as he reprises his role in Dune: Part Two and is set to appear in the eponymous character in Wonka – the musical movie prequel to Roald Dahl’s 1964 classic novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The Bleu De Chanel advertising campaign starring Timothée Chalamet, shot by Mario Sorrenti, will be released in June 2023, followed by the release of the campaign film, directed by Martin Scorsese, in fall.
