VERO Presents: Sxmson Exclusive Live Session

VERO teams up with HUNGER to showcase the best musical talents of 2020...

Listening to his sisters’ favourite boyband bops and girl-power anthems, Iranian/Jewish singer-songwriter SXMSON acquired an early taste for RnB and pop. This inspired him to write at the keyboard in his North London bedroom but since then he’s sharpened his songwriting skills by working with producers like Laidback Luke and Grammy nominee Maths Time Joy.

Now, with singles like “Fools Paradise” and “Smile”, he’s crafted his own signature sound of smooth vocals filtered over RnB production, all delivered with a retro twist. Unabashedly proud of his LGBT+ identity, he broaches his personal experience of dating and heartbreak in confessional lyrics and uses his growing platform to improve queer visibility in pop.

Check out his stripped-back live version of “(Please Don’t) Talk About Love” via the video below.

The Sxmson live session is part of a new music series by the authentic social network VERO, Rankin and Hunger Magazine.
