Virgil Abloh on recycling plastic for latest Off-White menswear show in Paris

The hype around Off-White’s SS20 show at Paris Fashion Week couldn't get any louder.

Entitled “PLASTIC”, the collection references a range of apparel that features a repurposed recycling logo, appeared across boiler suits early in the show. Most assuredly, the label’s pivotal statement was put into place at the start of the show, opened by Sheck Wes, who stepped out in a full-on white look wearing an overcoat, trousers and a tee in collaboration with Futura. The Futura capsule persisted throughout the collection, alongside other stand-out ensembles including a graffiti-decked blazer and a cape.

Moreover, the collection featured an eclectic range of vivid-like pieces, such as tie-dye denim accompanied by relaxed tailoring. Footwear comprised of sandals and hiking-style boots. Culminating Abloh’s “peerless hype” was supermodel Gigi Hadid who closed the show, leading the model crew amongst a flowery path set up in the Grand Palais.
