Virgil Abloh’s iconic Paint Can Bag has finally arrived online

Virgil Abloh cemented himself as one of this generation’s greatest and most influential designers, leaving his signature visible across the world of luxury fashion. His legacy as artistic director for Louis Vuitton menswear saw some of the boldest designs ever released by the French fashion house — just take the recently released Paint Can Bag.

The bag was revealed at the Men’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway show, a posthumous display of Abloh’s signature creative flair. Of course, Louis Vuitton is known for their iconic leather handbag accessories. However, this iteration will undoubtedly add a dash of something extra to your rotation with its striking colourways.

The bag pretty much does what it says on the tin. It is based on a paint can, after all. There’s even a chrome LV-branded metal handle that allows the top to pop open on a leather hinge. The finer realistic details on the piece include a “Handle With Care” warning, a flammable warning and a quality of paint note. To top it all off, the purple detailing of the Paint Can Bag features the famous Louis Vuitton monogram.

The bag has finally arrived online and at Louis Vuitton stores for £1,980.
