We finally got our film back from Carnival: Here are the best shots of Europe’s largest street parade
After a three-year hiatus, Carnival returned with one of the year’s most unforgettable events.
2022 marked the welcome return of Notting Hill Carnival. After a painstakingly long three-year hiatus, Carnival more than made up for its time away, providing the perfect backdrop for a scorching bank holiday weekend. Obviously, it’s been a couple of weeks now since Carnival kicked off, so apologies for not getting this out sooner! However, hopefully, after seeing the film images below from HUNGER’s Marcus Lister, who really got amongst it, you’ll be able to forgive us.

Also this year, to commemorate 60 years of Jamaican independence, rum brand Wray & Nephew became Carnival’s official partner. In celebration of this, the first-ever “Wray Stage” in Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park delivered an unforgettable weekend of live music. The stage held host to a variety of artists and DJs providing a soundtrack of reggae, ska, grime and garage just to name a few.
