Willow Smith is the face of Maison Margiela’s new fragrance

Say hello to Mutiny: the first Maison Margiela fragrance created under the creative direction of John Galliano.

Formulated in the language of the house, the scent captures the codes cultivated by creative director John Galliano and marks the first perfume developed by the designer at Maison Margiela. The juice and its flacon reflect the deconstruction and subversion epitomised by the house and transform the techniques of Maison Margiela into the defiant character ofMutiny. Embodied in a multi-media campaign featuring six mutinists (including Willow Smith, Teddy Quinlivan, Sasha Lane, Molly Blair, Princess Nokia and Hanne Gaby Odiele), each represents their own expression of these multi-faceted values: nonconformity, diversity and creativity. In short films directed by Fabien Baron (DGA), they vocalize their personal manifestos for what it means to be a mutinist. As 17-year-old model, actress and singer Willow Smith says herself, “create the rules, then break them.’
