Gigi Dior, the self-proclaimed “super MILF” of OnlyFans, is being sued by Dior, the French fashion house that inspired the adult star’s stage name.

Now, you’re probably wondering how Dior came across the adult star in the first place, and, unfortunately, we don’t have the answer to that (although we would love to know). But anyway, it seems that the brand wasn’t too happy to learn of Gigi’s existence, so much so that they’re urging her to immediately drop the stage name, filing a cease and desist order in October. “This is ridiculous, my name has nothing to do with couture and the funny part is what I do usually involves wearing no clothes at all,” she said in response to the lawsuit, which claims she is sullying the brand.

The actor and model officially trademarked her name in September but now has until November 17 to present a written response to the label’s lawyers, who are maintaining that her alias is damaging the reputation of Christian Dior – a “dilution by blurring and dilution by tarnishment,” as its statement reads.

Despite fashion’s recent leaning into pornography – think Euphoria star Chloe Cherry’s recent front-row appearances – brands are mostly still ensuring they stay well clear of the world of sex work. However, this is rather ironic given that John Galliano’s tenure at Dior drew heavily on vintage cartoons of Parisian prostitutes.

Gigi Dior’s choice of name further lengthens a list of ostracised individuals adopting luxury monikers. Whether it’s adult stars or artists like Gucci Mane and Aaron Cartier, these titles actively contribute to each brand’s law and are seemingly here to stay – no matter how hard brands try to cut them out.
