Yohji Yamamoto channel rebellion and sensuality in SS19 eyewear campaign

For the Spring Summer 2019 eyewear collection, the renowned fashion house heads to a darker aesthetic.

Inspired by the space between a person and their accessories, Yohji Yamamato imagines the frame with the wearer this season: bringing the sharp new pieces to life, the eyes behind the sunglasses are as important as the accessory perching on them.

Focusing on lightness, elegance and restraint, the new collection for SS19 features jaggered hexagonal edges, as well as black-as-night lenses. As the brand explains, the eyewear capsule is “as much a nod to Yohji the musician and eternal rebel, as to the master tailor”, bringing together his exceptional eye for detail with his daring rebellious personality.

Modern, seductive and unique, the collection makes the Matrix look seem so last year, less about thin-cut accessories and more about mysteriously bold shapes. Scroll down to check the full lookbook out now…
