MVP of the week — Featuring Louis Vuitton and Damson Madder

Welcome to HUNGER’s Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do, or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what’s hot, what’s not, and what needs to be on your radar…

Kicking off this week’s MVP, we have Louis Vuitton, who are entering 2024 by looking back at decades past with their new LV Remix Collection. The new range adds a modern twist to iconic early noughties styles such as the Monogram Vernis and Monogram Denim, building on their legacies with a range of leather goods, shoes, and accessories combining nostalgia with futurism. Coveted 2000s pieces are rejuvenated by refreshed shapes and textures, and are injected with vibrant colours and are sported in the campaign by Phoebe Dynevor, Lous & the Yakuza, Shay Mitchell and Nana Ouyang. Among the new additions to the Twist collection are the Capucines East-West and the Twist West – both featuring a lengthened frame – along with the Twist Little, a chic, compact size that bridges day-to-evening. Preview the collection below.

Next up we have Damson Madder, who recently launched their Pre-Spring 2024 ‘Re-emergence’ collection. The range looks to usher in the warmer seasons through standouts such as the brand’s renowned quilted gilets in fresh iterations including a meadow-green gingham, and quilted jackets in patchwork and ditsy floral. Meanwhile, two fresh styles of denim are also on offer: Damson’s hero cargo shape in a new vintage mid-wash, and a relaxed, wide leg jean with barely-there polka dots. The full collection is now available to view and purchase online.

Finally, as part of its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, Stone Island has dropped off an exclusive capsule celebrating the Year of the Dragon. Galvanised by the Chinese zodiac sign, the brand has altered its signature iconography to picture the year’s mythical creature over its classic compass motif. Inside the capsule, Stone Island delivers a reversible bomber jacket, which features one side made from stretch twill weaved mercerized cotton fabric in red and another side composed of nylon metal, a versatile textile born out of the brand’s own research, in black. Stone Island’s Year of the Dragon capsule is now available to shop in select stores and on the brand’s website.
