Alex Mullins AW18: Surrealism, rainbow tie dye and digi-printing
Multicoloured mania.
[A]lex Mullins’ AW18 collection was a celebration of both the systematic and spontaneous; showcasing an imaginative mix of psychedelic, rainbow-hued tailoring alongside minimal classics.
Experimental suiting was a key takeaway. Oversized shoulders. Photographs of smashed ceramic plates (featuring previous seasons muses) digitally printed onto silk and cotton poplin. The hero of the night? A rainbow tie-dye co-ord to brighten up your winter wardrobe. Technicolour dream coats – and multi-coloured masks – aside, louder garments were toned down with cream longline puffer shirts, grey shearling and dirty beige corduroy.
