Dior desaturated.

[D]ecadent partywear meets grunge in Millicent Simon’s latest shoot with photographer Wendy Bevan. Taking on some of this seasons most opulent outfits, Simon innovated the extravagant pieces by paring them with knitwear and shooting them in a lo-fi setting. Bringing the grunge to high fashion looks, Bevan shot on black and white polaroid film, creating a captivatingly desaturated aesthetic.

Styling model Esme Ham with tousled just-out-of-bed hair and paired down beauty meant the decadence of the designs are brought to reality. As Simon described to Hunger, “sequin dresses always make you think of partywear but mixing with knitwear and shooting with no make up and in a quite a grungy location gives it a more contemporary feel”.
