[C]omme Des Garcons Parfums are re-issuing ten of their most iconic scents from the last two decades, which will form a library of fragrances recording the entire scent history of the brand. For cult followers of the fragrances, they will be given the chance to re-live their favourite long-lost scents.
The brand’s first fragrance was released in 1996 under Christian Astuguevieille, the creative director of Comme Des Garcons Pafrums, while the infamous ‘Series 6 Synthetic’ series was the latest to be released in 2004. The latter being made up of ‘socially incorrect anti-perfumes’ that consisted of scents such as ‘Tar’, comprised of the smells of grilled cigarettes, town gas and bergamot.
The scents are each entirely unique and tonally different, looking towards things you might not think of being possible from a fragrance, while also translating the majestic and avant-garde nature of Rei Kawakubo’s designs.
The scents are set for world wide launch in all Dover Street Market stored and online on June 19th.
