Neon Hawaii: A polaroid preview of Michiko Koshino SS19

Island vibes.

[T]he darker side of underground culture has long been a rich source of inspiration for Michiko Koshino – the menswear designer beloved by David Bowie, Stella McCartney and Candy Ken. But SS19 is all about a new direction for the Japanese design icon.   Transporting us to a Hawaiian paradise, Michiko’s latest collection celebrates tropical flavours and neon hues.

Exploring the escapism of world travel, the designer reinterprets her signature streetwear staples in jungle -inspired prints with silk scarves and slogan printed shirts.  It’s a whole lot of fun and will be revealed in full at Michiko Koshino’s presentation at the Istituto Maragoni in London on Sunday 10th June for LFWM.

In the meantime, we’re giving you an exclusive first look, with the polaroid preview of the collection below.
