[F]or one day only, Ashleigh Kane and Melissa will host Am I Making Sense, an exhibition exploring identity in our modern times and how are self-worth is determined. Today at Hoxton Arches, the group art show will feature Elizabeth Gabrielle Lee, Shon Faye and Ruth Ossai’s works. Using personal positive affirmations, the artists have mediated on their own identities and ideas of self-worth, creating an installation filled with intimate pieces. Ossai and Lee have both focused on photography for their exhibit, whilst Faye has written and performed a piece for a short film.
Curated by Ashleigh Kane, Arts & Culture Editor at Dazed Magazine, and supported by Melissa (Brazilian shoe and art collective brand) it will be an immersive exhibition encompassing film, photography, art and set design. The artists have created poignant pieces that evoke what identity and self-worth means to each of them, and will include “subtle sensory elements”, an exhibition not to be missed.
