So, Virgil Abloh is backing the cowboy boots trend

Wild West.

[O]ff-White’s SS18 show may have paid tribute to Princess Diana – hello elbow gloves, power shoulders and a plethora of Cinderella-style tulle – but now designer Virgil Abloh has teased next season’s muse. Get ready for the Steve McQueen style renaissance. In a black-and-white Instagram post, the snap shows Abloh showcasing a pair of cowboy boots that have “FOR WALKING” written up the side.

While we’ll have to wait and see whether this is a ‘first look’ from the streetwear brand’s AW18 collection, fashion’s new Wild West mood is everywhere. Cowboy hats where a staple at Astrid Anderson earlier this month at men’s fashion week and denim trousers and country western style belt buckles were the ‘It’ accessory spotted at John Lawrence Sullivan.

For those who want to rock the Americana look with a little more punch this season? May we suggest you google Patricia Arquette’s bright blue cowboy boots in True Romance immediately.
