Spring Awakening: enter the world of witchcraft in this enchanting fashion shoot

[S]tylish sorcery is taking the fashion world by storm: from eerie ensembles to spooky soundtracks, the inspiration on the catwalks was darker than ever. So for HUNGER #14 we entered the wild world of witchcraft and want you to too… Our junior fashion editor Chantal des Vignes teamed up with photographer Sam Copeland to explore modern magic; featuring encrusted Versace and floaty MSGM, there’s also stand out looks from Clio Peppiatt and This is the Uniform. Chantal explained how the shoot came about, describing how “the key inspiration were the feminist groups of witches: full of energy, history, still practising their craft today.” The shoot echoed back to “iconic 90s films like ‘The Craft’, a story of positive female empowerment, strength and group unity: harnessing inner power and spirituality… But for this we brought together elements of cosmic romanticism, 90s and street attitude.” So take a look at the full shoot below to be tempted by tarot and enjoy our candlelit dreamworld…
