The photographer blending sculptural and abstract inspirations
Shifting perspective on the everyday.
[T]om Brannigan is a photographer pushing the boundaries of still life image. In a sea of sameness, his sculpturally inspired visuals are full of wit and humour, shifting our perspective on everyday objects by blending them with elements from the natural world.
Experimenting with lighting, he creates surreal studio-based scenes designed to question our relationship with time and space. “I like to play with the levels of busyness in the image, and then work with lots of alternative lighting and in-camera tricks to bring the frame to life” he says about his process.
