[M]atthew Miller is one of LFWM’s quiet rebels. For his SS19 collection, in an underground car park in the heart of Chinatown, he drew inspiration from the epic poem by 17th century English poet John Milton, Paradise Lost.
Injecting Milton’s moody themes – from light vs darkness and the ultimate breakdown of hierarchy – the collection was a survival uniform for the next gen. The London-based designer also unveiled a new eco-friendly line, REDUX, in collaboration with iconic American heritage footwear brand K-Swiss. Produced from 100% recycled old band merchandise, “redux uses the latest innovative technologies to merge old fabrics with sustainable materials” to produce “a truly premium streetwear collection that doesn’t compromise on style or more importantly impact the environment.”
