It’s coming home! Or at least, we’re all on our edge of our seats as the possibility of England winning the World Cup is the realest it has been in decades. In honour of the occasion, photographer Elliott Wilcox and stylist Robbie Canale have combined the two spheres of football and fashion, for a unique Hunger TV shoot.
Elliott says: ‘The World Cup is such a positive thing, it’s full of skill, solidarity and it brings people from all walks of life together. I really wanted to show this in my shoot, so it was important for me to use a cast with a mix of different genders and ethnicities. Plus putting my stamp on the build up to this global event was really exciting. I loved every second of this one!’
Tapping into the resurgence of football shirt chic, prompted by the ongoing wave of throwback fever for 80s and 90s sportswear, the shoot pairs vintage jerseys with high fashion looks for an on-pint Summer ’18 aesthetic.
