Mono No Aware
This beauty story from creative director and hair and makeup artist Anastasiia Babii celebrates a sense of oneness with all living things.
In Japanese culture, “mono no aware” can be roughly translated to “an empathy toward things”, a sensitivity to the world around you and an appreciation for the impermanence of all living things. Inspired by this concept, beauty creative Anastasiia Babii and photographer Eva Diaz have created a visual image to this gentle acceptance of transience, rendered through soft colours and fleeting moments of joy.
