The UK’s quintessential award show for rap and grime returns this year for its seventh iteration and has revealed its full list of nominees. What’s even better is that the ceremony will be broadcast live for the first time, exclusively on E4.
Dave leads the way in nominations for this year’s ceremony, with a whopping six nominations across the board including male artist of the year and track of the year twice. He’s also up for the prestigious album of the year and will face off against Little Simz, Fredo, Cleo Sol, Tion Wayne, M Huncho, Knucks and Kojey Radical.
Aitch, ArrDee, Cleo Sol, K-Trap, Knucks, Little Simz, M Huncho, and Tion Wayne make up the other names with multiple nominations. Meanwhile, Ms Banks, Mahalia, Stefflon Don and FLO are just some of the names nominated for female of the year. Nominations for personality of the year include the likes of KSI, Mo Gilligan, Munya Chawawa, Nella Rose and Big Zuu.
There are 10 categories, with 10 nominees in each category except for album of the year, where there are just eight nominees. Artists can be nominated more than once in each category, too, as is the case with Dave, Aitch and K-Trap. Hosts and performers are to be announced in the coming weeks.
