ICYMI: The HUNGER team and friends celebrate our Amazon Music listening event at Abbey Road Studios

With performances from the likes of Nemzzz and Hak Baker at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, it was certainly a night to remember.

Last Friday, HUNGER put on a party that will live long in the memory – although there’s probably a few who don’t remember a thing. Taking place at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, we partnered with Amazon Music to give our guests a night filled with breathtaking performances, fashion week-ready looks and, of course, plenty of bevs. And, now that the team has (mostly) fully recovered from the night’s proceedings, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what was undoubtedly a night to remember for all involved.

The evening’s performances were kicked off by flowerovlove, and the 17-year-old musician provided an assured presence on stage with her always soothing vocals. She was followed on by singer-songwriter Daniella Wizard, who was recently featured in our Celebrity Issue. Then came the loveable East Londoner Hak Baker, who charmed the crowd with a captivating acoustic set after admittedly defying his instructions not to drink before performing (we don’t blame you, Hak.) Finally, Manchester rapper Nemzzz closed out the performances for the night with an energetic rendition of his viral hits ‘2MS’ and ‘Elevate,’ which even had some of the more elderly attendees busting a move.

Plenty of heavy hitters in the creative world came through, including Rankin, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashniko, Mr Hudson and Arlo Parks. Meanwhile, Top Boy’s Araloyin Oshunremi also popped in to see what all the fuss was about. Also enjoying the celebrations and getting the drinks flowing were MOBO award winner FelixThe1st, Navinder Nangla (who blessed our banner with his trademark tags), Adam Ali, Marcus Nelson and Fitzroy Holt.

Regarding the drinks, we had to add a dash of our creative flair – this is HUNGER, after all. Our cocktails included The Amazonian, HUNG(ov)ER, Elder-flowerovlove and Nemzzz’s Mixer-Tape (hopefully, you appreciate all the puns, they took a lot longer to conjure up than you’d think). All of the bevs on the evening were provided by Brixton Brewery, Edwards 1902 and Casamigos, who ensured the incredible vibes continued well into the night. Apologies for any hangover flashbacks those names have induced.

If you were unfortunate enough to miss out, not to worry, below you can find a selection of snapshots from across our socials from the evening. And yes, we’re aware they’re a bit shoddy, but think of it as an artistic choice; still, keep an eye out for something substantially better tomorrow…
